| Day 38: From Phakding to Lukla Passing by a stupa near Chhuthawa. |

| Day 38: Almost there The last village before reaching Lukla. Lukla is just over the ridge and from here we can hear the sound of the planes landing and taking off. |

| Day 38: Lukla Lukla with Kwangde at the back. We stayed at Numbur Lodge, and tried the sukuti and chilli chicken there which were very delicious. Mice stayed on at the lodge for a couple of days to work there instead of returning to Kathmandu with us. |

| Day 38: Soldiers at Lukla Soldiers performing their evening assembly at the runway of Lukla airstrip. We flew back to Kathmandu via Yeti Airline the next morning. |
