  Day 34: Lungden-Thame (3820m)

Map 9a: Day 34 - Day 36
Day 34: Heading for Thame
Villagers passing by going up the mountain while we were going down to Thame.
Day 34: More yaks
Yet another herd of yaks going up.
Day 34: Thyangmoche
Following Bhote Khosi towards Thyangmoche. Strong winds were blowing along the way bringing up dusts and sands which made the trek rather unpleasant (center of picture).
Day 34: Above Thame
Thame is at the valley beside Thame Khola. There are also settlements up at the ridge and the place is called Thame Teng. The winds were still blowing strongly when I reached Thame.
Day 34: Thame
At the top of the picture is the intake of the hydro-electric plant at Thame. This power plant was built as a joined project by the Austrians, and supplies electricity to the villages from Thame to Namche Bazaar to Lukla.
Day 34: Path to enlightenment
Thame is well known for it's monestry besides the hydro-electric plant. The monestry is located up the ridge above Thame, and there are lots of mani stones alone the way.
Day 34: Mani stones
Mani stones are tablets carved with Buddhist scripts.
Day 34: Thame gompa
Mice went up with me and waited while I took a picture.
Day 34: The main hall
Inside were a couple of Buddha and god statues to which I made my prayers.
