| Day 27: Gorak Shep (5140m) This picture was taken on the way up to Kala Pathar. From here we can see Kongmatse, Pokalde, and Kangtega. We stayed at the Himalaya Lodge at the right. |

| Day 27: Gorak Shep and Kala Pattar There were only 2 lodges at Gorak Shep, and both were packed with people. Adding the camping groups and you could hardly find a seat in the dinning hall. |
